I’m Carrie Ailstock-Wolford, founder of Carrie’s Weight & Wellness Coaching, and for more than 16 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people lose weight, understand their bodies, and—most importantly—learn how to maintain their results.
But I didn’t come into this field simply because I studied wellness.
I lived the struggle first.
At my highest, I weighed nearly 230 pounds. I tried the fad diets, lost the weight, gained it back, and repeated the cycle more times than I can count. I know what it feels like to wonder why something that worked before suddenly doesn’t work anymore.
Eventually, I lost more than 100 pounds and learned something that completely changed the direction of my career:
Most programs teach you how to lose weight. Very few teach you how to live after the weight comes off.
That became my mission.
I graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology. My background expanded into Health and Wellness Coaching, holistic nutrition, whole foods, behavioral change, and weight maintenance.
Over the years, I became less interested in giving people another list of foods to follow and far more interested in helping them understand why their body responds the way it does.
Today, physicians, chiropractors, and functional medicine providers contract with and refer clients to me to help bridge an important gap in healthcare:
Teaching people how to eat again and how to actually live it.
There is an overwhelming amount of information available today—calories, macros, fasting, supplements, hormones, detoxes, medications, injections, conflicting nutrition advice—and many people walk through my door simply exhausted by it all.
My job is to cut through the confusion.
I teach nutrition in a way that makes sense. We talk about metabolism, inflammation, hydration, stress, behavior, habits, and the nervous system—but we connect those pieces to everyday life.
I don’t want you blindly following another plan.
I want you to understand the science behind what you’re doing, why your body is responding, and what you can realistically sustain for the rest of your life.
After COVID, I saw an enormous shift.
People who had maintained their weight for years were struggling again. Stress was higher. Routines disappeared. Emotional eating increased. Life simply looked different.
From 2020 through 2026, I became even more determined to refine the maintenance side of our program by incorporating behavioral science, habit change, nervous-system regulation, accountability, hydration, and practical strategies for real life.
My own last Metabolic Reset was in 2022.
I am not interested in spending the rest of my life dieting—and I don’t want my clients doing that either.
Maintenance means knowing how to enjoy a vacation, a birthday, dinner with your family, or a difficult season of life and still know how to come home to yourself.
That’s freedom.
And that is what I want people to learn here.
My faith.
Carrie’s Weight & Wellness is proudly a faith-based Christian business.
Without God, I would not be where I am today.
I believe He gave me the ability to teach, the experiences that allow me to understand someone else’s struggle, and the responsibility to love and serve people well.
The women on our coaching team strive to do the same.
You aren’t simply meeting someone who is “nice.” You are meeting women who desire to live like Christ—with compassion, honesty, accountability, grace, and genuine care for the person sitting across from us.
Our faith doesn’t replace science.
It is the foundation for how we use it and how we care for people.
Matthew 7:16 says:
“You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.” — Matthew 7:16 NLT
That’s exactly how I want people to experience our business.
You’ll know us by our fruit.
After 16 years, thousands of clients, my own 100+ pound journey, and countless lessons along the way, my purpose has become very simple:
Cut through the confusion. Teach people how their bodies work. Help them lose the weight. And then give them the tools, education, accountability, and confidence to never need another fad diet again.
Because losing weight is one accomplishment.
Learning how to sustain it can change the rest of your life.
Help you finally bring your vision of health and wellness to life.
Walk with you through every step of your health and wellness journey.
